We may list courses from around the state for our members' information as well as courses that we believe Floyd County residents might want to attend. Course sponsors may establish prerequisites and other participation requirements. Just click on the subject below for additional information. HAZARDOUS MATERIALS AWARENESS CLASS

A Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Awareness class will be held for Squad members at Floyd County Rescue Squad's Station 1 on December 17 and 18 from 6 to10 p.m.. 

The squad will cover the $15 dollar registration fee for members, but anyone signing up who later decides not to attend will be expected to reimburse the squad for the fee.

A sign up sheet is at Station 1.  Deadline for registration is  December 5th. Call or come by Station 1 to get your name on the list.  Make plans now to attend this class.

EMT-B COURSE BEING HELD AT
FCRS STATION ONE

The annual Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B) course is being held at Floyd Country Rescue Squad's station 1 beginning August 28, 2007. Certified EMTs may attend individual class sessions to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) toward Virginia EMT recertification. (For directions to the station, go to the Contact Us link.)

Classes meet between 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Weekdays and 6:30 and 9:30 on Sundays.

in Area 10 for the session.

EMSAT TRAINING AT FCRS STATION 1

December 19, 2007 EMSAT web-based training by the
Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services will be
"Anatomy and Physiology Pt 1." Class begins at 7:30 p.m.
