RESCUE STATIONS

Station One

LIFE GUARD 11: Carilion Medical Services newest air ambulance
helicopter, Life Guard 11, lands at Floyd County Rescue's
Station One during the Squad's 2006 Open House. The Squad
also displayed its ambulances and Crash Truck during the
event. Station One is the Squad's largest building and houses
its primary operations and training facilities. It also serves as
headquarters for the county's paid EMS personnel who provide
coverage week days along with 24/7 advanced life support.
The county EMS people utilize the volunteer squad's vehicles
and other medical supplies and equipment.

Station Three

STATION THREE in the Locust Grove area of the county
stands ready to serve citizens in times of need. Because
of the low membership in the eastern part of the county, the
building now primarily serves to garage an ambulance
for response when needed throughout the county. 911 calls are
made simultaneously to Stations 1 and 3. The station will be
reopened when sufficient EMTs become active in the area.

Station Four

STATION FOUR, Floyd County Rescue Squad's newest
station is located in Indian Valley. It was dedicated to the
service of Floyd County residents in an Open House
ceremony on June 10, 2007.
