  • How FCRS is Funded

As just about anyone who has visited a medical facility in recent years can attest, medical care is expensive, the byproduct of tremendous advances and improvements in medical science.

Many of these expenses also affect Floyd County Rescue Squad's operations as its members strive to provide local patients with the best possible pre-hospital care and transport.

But, medical supplies get used and equipment wears out and all must be replaced.

Where does the money come from?

FCRS was founded in 1974 as an all volunteer crew and for many years it remained so.
